In the library tower, the Emperor sat drinking his morning tea. Dark grey hair lay down to his shoulders held back by his crown which sat precariously on his head. His old age seemed to finally be reaching him as the weight of his duties forced him to make decisions he had no choice to make. At times it felt like Edgar had been controlling the Empire for the last twenty years and not him. Sanity was never one of his strong suits but he still tried to do his best for the people, all of them. Recently he had not seen many of his servants, particularly the Elvish and Demonic ones. It hurt his heart and stressed him even more so to know that they most likely were not okay. The coffers were becoming more and more spacious as the years wore on and it showed in the city. “Jule! I’m starting my shower could you get the boys ready for church?” Cain called to his wife from the bedroom as he turned on the shower. It had taken him the last hour to get his boys to eat breakfast and settle down. His parents were coming in from Dallas to visit for the first time in years. Panic set in as the man led two children through the city's back streets. His eyes glowed a light green as he searched through the dark alleys, his eyes darting to and fro looking for anything out of the ordinary. The lights had gone dark from an external force. He assumed it was the hunters following them. They loved to torture and scare their victims to death. His wife was no exception to this. If anything she had been a favorite of theirs. The painful vision of watching her being tortured to death before him flashed in his mind. It broke his concentration and he tripped hitting the ground with his shoulder, guarding the child in his arms. The young child cried disturbed from her sleep and he held her close. “Shhhh… Sweetheart go back to sleep. I need you to sleep, please.” He winced standing and placed a hand on her chest lulling her to sleep with a soft spell. Eron Hert Country of origin: Alcaria Date of birth: August 26 Year 2359 Age: 41 Race: Elven Eron considers himself Armanis’ best friend seeing as they grew up together, though Armanis rarely acknowledges his presence. Often he finds himself as the only voice for Armanis in situations where emotions normally would run high. He is lighter-skinned with bright green eyes and golden hair. He keeps it pulled back in a short pony-tail normally it’s just long enough to stay up with a few stray strands falling out here and there. He is a very neat and orderly person but not so much that it would drive him nuts. His apartment in the city is usually just clean enough to keep him sane but not so much that he feels it’s stuffy. Armanis Weaver Country of origin: Vauedora Empire Date of birth: Unknown Aprox. 33-35 years of age Race: Human Lives in the castle in one of the lower ranking wings. Often referred to for advice in military moves. Currently an Officer in the empire's military. Not particularly high ranking but has the eye of the Emperor for promotion to higher rank in the military. He lives simply having been raised into a life where every aspect of his day focused around the military. He does not grow attachments as he has had multiple people to raise him and not one has stood out in particular to him. He views himself and those who follow his orders as fodder for the empire and nothing else. Most first impressions on him are of a cold and emotionless soldier with no reason to interact with him. Potential plotline. Main Character: Armanis Weaver For some unknown reason (for now) Armanis is incapable of displaying outward emotion. He is currently a high ranking officer in the empire (the name will be decided one day). A woman named Daysha claiming to be his sister suddenly appears in his life and drags him involuntarily into a plot to assassinate the Emperor/king (depends on how I want the structure of government). She blindly follows a man who claims to be her father and believes every word he says. this unknown man has taken the demonic underground city (beneath the capital, crime and such runs rampant basically it's own thing) and turned it into his own twisted powerhouse army. Armanis begins to discover that there was more to the world than his post in the military. He meets many interesting characters both human and demon. as his world begins to expand he learns what it's like to be human while developing a connection with the woman who could be his sister. not only
